welcome to the (still) warmest balcony in town!
come see the notorious YIKES!

then a little xmas from last year, our geometric display.
a small video blooper of the display of 2010.
right now it's an unconverted flv file. so have your players updated. especially your 'realplayer'.
i never bothered to update the site in 2 yrs. sooo... (you've got all this snowmageddon footage to look forward to)
(we'll fix this later)
it's a seymour XMAS!

seymour has come to town. his blinking red eye will look out for us all this holiday season.
more images to come, we've put up more 'things' and haven't taken any recent photos yet.
click here to see the most recent video of seymour.
check out the xmas cams! well, our office cams!
enjoy the balcony, love the lights, want to help us maintain this mess?
donate to BLINK. just one dollar per can help us acquire materials to keep the spirit going all through out the year.
check out this holiday classic, enjoy it and then get it on DVD!

we don't want to think so but the times have been hard, but somehow we kept up the xmas spirit.
we like to thank everyone who had a sense of humor over this, enjoyed our lighting setup and didn't try to make it into something that is surely wasn't.
:D
before you proceed, would you like to see a horizon that doesn't exist anymore due to condo development?
click here! this was taken back in 2004, just as the crane was erected.

but what is going on? what's with the fish in our window? no it's not religious (get your fish straight) it's DERF!
DERF is a part of all our lives now. DERF LIVES!

DERF before his induction to the world.
little did he know that one day he'd be known at the christmas shark! (oh, and the halloween shark!) here's to troops!
in honor of our now recently departed neighbors.. moving on in life and the young moving into the world! we'll miss yah, thanks for those years of being an great, considerate and fortunate neighbor! :D

mr. peeps protecting his cookie that was given to him by mr. b from a real live smithsonian xmas party. the cookie had a terrible accident, for a moment mr. peeps looked the other way... we had no idea what really happened. ;D he's not recovered from the tragedy, yet. (he did warn us that he knows where we live!) |
here's frosty and peggy... they shined momentarily before one of our lesser extension cords failed. they're still having a romantic interlude on the armoire, thankfully :D there's over 900 lights on that piece of metal by the way, to light it would mean an atomic surge of such magnitude... well i couldn't put it into words let's just say it'll involve the return of elvis and some interesting rendezvous with the hershey's chocolate factory, bbq chicken and duct tape... oh and some lock cutters, the original cast of les miserables (the 1935 version with fredric march and charles laughton.) and a giant inflatable pink bunny rabbit. (ok, don't ask, wait 'til easter)
oh, and they can sleep at night MR.PEEPS! seemingly how they don't need smithsonian cookies to keep their element stable..... :D

previously...
the balcony for the year of 2006 this setup was so well done i couldn't make it on those UGLY xmas sites, no matter what. this display had an unfortunate amount of lights, i rather keep those numbers to myself. |

video of the lights (dmx preselects)
there's a purple setup but so far i've not had luck getting a good picture of it. not the camera's fault, it's mine. being legally blind can suck seriously. if luck permits i'll find someone to get the images if possible.
most lights are up and running now sometimes they're animated, sometimes they're not.
4pm to 10:30pm you get the main lights. after 10:30 pm the lights turn to a dark purple.
boris karloff as the mummy, resides in the tree... our tree being notable for having 'things' in it that aren't considered christmasy.
some of the presents that once embossed the floor.
*special blend (re: from over there >>>>)
gramma's new years punch for 2 for 2 bottles of korbel (this is all 'to taste' your flavor preference you can adjust this yourself, it's not a hard recipe, a one celled organism can do it) 1 gallon of ruby red grapefruit (your brand of choice) 2 liters of canada dry 1 gallon of hawaiian punch red 3 sliced lemons * the rum (it's up to you, we don't add it to the recipe) you can add to your taste preference if you so like. also the entire recipe can be adjusted for your taste preference. these measurements are for two individuals who suffer heartburn occasionally.... so this is the 'cowardly stomach' version. make sure to make ice cubes with the canada dry, hawaiian punch and grapefruit juice! plop those in after you make this concoction and store it in a chilly place then service... remember these above measurements are for 2 people. just double for each one additional person you are including. enjoy! there's so much vitamin c in this and potassium the hangover is almost non-evident. goes great with neon pink coconut cake! (but my gramma's recipe died with her... but i'll think of something)

the tree on christmas day, seeing how now it's suffocated with gold tinsel and presents. it was fun wrapping this year, haven't done it for a while. i decided this year i was going all out, sorta, took all year to acquire enough to make it a worth while xmas and it was worth it. in 2007 i must start now (still 2006) in order to compete! of course for a legally blind person such as myself it takes quite a while to accomplish what regular folks can, financially and other wise. there was tons of cakes, cookies, brownies, champagne with my *special blend... (want to know it?) chocolate popcorn with nuts (it's really easy ya know, just get hershey's and some good popcorn... got an oven?) :D the wrapping paper, finally got some REAL wrapping paper with ribbons. that wrapping paper is more rare than it should be, but it was worth the trouble.
